Bread is a staple food prepared by baking a dough of flour and water. It is popular around the world and is one of the world's oldest foods.
Bread Street was named after the many bakers that set up shops and stalls there in medieval London. It was originally built in the ninth century to provide access from Queenhithe to the market street
of Cheapside.
