Milk
is the white opaque fluid secreted by mammals for the nourishment of their
young. Cow's milk is the most commonly used for drinking, and in cooking
and baking, but milk from goats, sheep and buffalo is also available.
Milk
Street was where cows were kept for milking in medieval London, and dates
from about 1140. |
