Quorn
isn't actuallly a food as such, but a brand name for many types of food,
all of which contain Mycoprotein, a member of the fungi family. But I've
allowed Guinness and Buckfast, so this can be included too. This road, however,
is more likely to be have been named after the Leicestershire village Quorndon,
which had its name shortened in 1889 to avoid postal confusion with the
nearby village of Quarndon which was a few miles away. |
