Rice
is a type of swamp grass which produces the most common cereal grain eaten
by humans. The seeds of the rice plant can produce both brown and white
rice; when the outer husks are removed from the seeds this creates brown
rice, by removing the rest of the husk and the germ white rice is produced.
Rice can be ground into flour, made into a variety of beverages including
sake and rice milk, but is most commonly boiled or steamed to be eaten. |
